About Joost and Onne Schepel

In 1998 I (Joost) came to Cómpeta on holiday for the first time. The hospitable atmosphere, the climate and the nature reserve with plenty of walking opportunities led me to purchase a holiday home in the area in 1999. Many further walks led to my final emigration to Andalusia and the founding of the Spainanders walking company.

After almost 20 years, I handed over Spanjeanders to my son Onne in 2019. I still like to help Onne when necessary. Spanjeanders is truly a family business.

Whether you prefer a solo adventure or group excursions, we offer it. Choose from our individual walking packages in Competa, with a choice of more than 30 walks, or go on one of our treks to Granada, Alfarnatejo, Nerja or Málaga.

We are licensed by the Government of Andalusia under number AT/MA/00218, so you know you are in good hands.
